2/22/11 Psalms 91:1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
There is a place in God that you can get to and abide in where the world can’t get to you. And fasting prepares you to open the door to that secret place. Allow the Almighty God to cover you with his wings like a mother hen protects her chicks from the storm.
2/23/11 1 Peter 3:18
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.
When we deny the flesh and crucify our sinful desires we allow God to quicken and strengthen our spirit. Remember that starving is not fasting, fast with a specific purpose and with great expectation. Feast on the word of God to bring about a change in you.
2/24/11 Isaiah 26:3-4
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whos mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
How much do you really trust the Lord? There is a perfect peace that can only be experienced when we truly and blindly depend on God. Why worry when, God can do a much better job at keeping your mind healthy than you ever could. Learn to trust him with all of you and with all you have.
2/25/11 Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
If it can be found in the heaven or in the earth, God created it. He created you and knows everything about you. He has your blue-print and is your Master designer. During this season of fasting allow him to rebuild your broken and worn out parts. He comes heavenly recommended.
2/26/11 Joshua 3:5
And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
God is doing a new thing. He is doing wonders among you and he expects you to GROW up and GROW out in order to run with it. He will be with you though it all just as he was with Joshua. Now is the time, this is the place and we are the people.
2/27/11 Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
God is a very present help. He is your keeper and your refuge. No matter what you are experiencing right this moment, God can help see you through it. Just look up.
2/28/11 Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Continue to nourish your soul with every word that comes from the mouth of God. Purpose in your heart to make fasting a way of life. Finish strong, knowing that God has kept a record of our work and GOD will REWARD OUR WORK.
